Safe at Home Minor Home Repair
The Safe at Home Minor Home Repair Program helps seniors, families, and people with disabilities to live in greater independence by addressing minor repair needs before they become more serious safety or deferred maintenance issues.

Safe at Home Minor Repair Projects include repairs such as debris removal, fence repair, basic home maintenance, exterior painting, light yard work, minor plumbing, minor electrical, heating repair, roof repair, window repair/replacement, door repair/replacement, energy efficiency measures, and some accessibility modifications.

Volunteers complete these repairs year-round through partnerships with San Mateo County, the City of Redwood City, the City of South San Francisco, Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, and the Sequoia Hospital Homecoming Project.

Call (650) 366-6597 to learn more about the Safe at Home Minor Repair Program or visit our Homeowner Applications page to download a Safe at Home Minor Repair Application.

Rebuilding Together Peninsula volunteers & sponsors come together on National Rebuilding Day each April. On April 28th, 2012, over 3,000 volunteers rehabilitated 46 homes and 20 community centers.

Volunteers with handy skills who are interested in serving the community year-round are always welcome on Safe at Home Minor Home Repair Projects.  The Safe at Home volunteer team cultivates fellowship among homeowners and community members while addressing timely minor home repair needs.
