La Casita Bonita

Gary J. Ahern, AIA, Architect
W.L. Butler Construction, Inc.

Inspired by the Spanish ranch homes that dotted the early California landscape, La Casita Bonita,  (The Beautiful Little House) blends the beauty of 1920’s period architecture with the quality old world craftsmanship. Ornate wrought iron railings and wood balconies, colorful tiles, graceful arches, two-piece clay tile roofs all reflect the periods’ Spanish and Mexican history and culture.

The interior is set with hardwood floors, tongue & groove wood plank ceilings, wood windows and interior walls finished with a smooth finish that is reminiscent of hand-worked plaster walls. The custom oak writing desk is artfully set into a recessed niche that accented by inset glass block tiles that will filter in natural light. Fully wired for electricity, La Casita Bonita will serve as a private retreat for sleepovers, fiestas and years of make-believe fun.

The authentic styling’s of La Casita Bonita would be at right at home in Santa Barbara, the Carmel Valley or your backyard…
