Coyote Creek Outpost

Barbara Butler Artist Builder, Inc.

Come on across the swinging bridge to the Coyote Creek Outpost where kids can be kids and where play is the work of the day! At the Outpost, kids can scramble up the rock wall to the lookout deck to scan the plains for animals or adventure. Or meander up the winder steps if they’re in a lollygagging mood. Coyote Creek Outpost is all about loops of play: fast ways up and down, ins and outs - all designed to keep kids running round and round. For quick escapes, there’s a firepole on one side and a coil climber on the other, with a multi-level clubhouse in between.

Built with sustainable redwood from well-managed forests, and stained with Barbara’s own non-toxic tung oil stains, the Outpost also has hand-woven natural rope railings and a split lodge pole roof. The rustic clubhouse has three levels with ladders, lots of doors & windows and a built-in secret safe. Plus a snug interior finished with redwood siding and kid-friendly lights. It’s the perfect place for kids (and adults?) to spend the afternoon reading, or to hole up on a rainy day planning their next adventure. And at the end of the day, kids can roll out their bedrolls and have a sleep-out in the upper clubhouse while listening to crickets sing and coyotes howl.
